Gucci Gang

"Gucci gang, Gucci gang, Gucci gang" is the start of a popular song nowadays by rapper Lil Pump. Gucci is one of the many luxury brands sported by rappers and other celebrities such as the Kardashians. If you are in the "Gucci gang" you are perceived as wealthy because the cheapest thing on their website is still a couple of hundred dollars. They are mostly known for their bags which start at a couple of thousand dollars and only those who can afford that price point are seen sporting it. If you have multiple Gucci products it can be assumed that you are part of the upper class of society.

Although Gucci is quite expensive, it is sustainable. The products are made from premium material like leather from Italy, which accounts for the hefty price tag. My girlfriend wears a Gucci purse that she got from her mom that is at least five years old and it still looks new. Her mom also has other luxury bags that are more than twenty years old that are still in good condition.

The luxury market is full of brands that have price points lower and higher than Gucci. Examples of these brands include Louis Vuitton and Prada, for the cost around Gucci. Michael Kors and Kate Spade are on the cheaper end of the spectrum and YSL and Hermes are on the other end with products starting at several thousand dollars. Luxury brands are not without imposters. There is an obvious knock-off bags that can be found in your local Chinatown with similar logos that have a different font, spacing, and positioning and then there are more convincing ones that may fool a luxury brand expert.

They have grades for how authentic it looks. The scale starts at B and AAA is the highest grade a knock-off can get. If a bag is AAA, the only differences that can be spotted are in the details like the zippers and clasps. However, there's no substitute for the real thing.
